Probiotic supplements are an important part of any Candidiasis treatment.  Remember you need good bacteria in the form of a probiotic supplement to replace the bad bacteria.  Just like so many of the other organisms that inhabit the human body Candida Albicans is good as long as it stays in balance.  When yeast populations get out of balance reach for a high quality probiotic supplement.  Candidiasis is a major illness that affects more people everyday.  The symptoms are vague and varied and it can be hard for a doctor to reach the proper diagnosis, but if you discover that you do have a Candida overgrowth it's important to begin a course of probiotic supplements immediately.

Candidiasis is an illness caused by an overgrowth of Candida Albicans in the intestinal tract. Candidiasis can be cause by several things including antibiotics, oral contraceptives, stress, or immune system deficiency. About 8 out of every 10 Americans likely suffers from this illness, but because of the varied and unrelated list of symptoms associated with Candidiasis it often goes undiagnosed. The symptoms of the illness are actually caused by the toxins excreted by the yeasts. These toxins are poisonous to the human body, and symptoms may include any or all on the following list.

  • Muscle aches
  • Muschle pains
  • Flu or allergy type symptoms
  • Anxiety
  • Mood swings
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Diarrhea
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Migraines or headaches
  • Cravings for sweet foods or carbohydrates
  • Cravings for alcohol
  • Eczema, acne or psoriasis
  • Brain for, memory loss, or difficulty concentrating
  • Numbness or tingling in extremities
  • Fatigue or low energy
  • Tender abdomen
  • Itchy skin
  • Sore throat
  • PMS
  • Constipation
  • Athlete's foot
  • Bad breath
  • Cough
  • Ear ache
If you suffer from any cluster of these symptoms it's possible that you're affected by an overgrowth of Candida yeast.  It's important to first of all follow a strict diet so that you're don't "feed" the yeast.  Avoid all sugary foods, even fruit.  Refined flour and other carbohydrates turn to sugar as you digest them so stay away from those as well.  This means no pasta, or bread.  Artificial sweeteners are not part of a Candida diet, and although you might crave it avoid acohol as well.

The Candida diet will get you started on the right path to recovery for a yeast overgrowth, but you must also support your immune system.  Get plenty of rest, eat healthy proteins and vegetables and exercise every day.  This is a pretty strict regimen and requires a great deal of commitment on the part of the patient, but it's the only way to defeat Candidiasis.  While you're watching your diet remember to take probiotics too.
